Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Lightly grease a baking dish.
Pat chicken thighs dry with paper towels and place them in the dish.
Brush thighs with olive oil. Season with garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
Pour half of the BBQ sauce over the chicken and spread to coat.
Bake uncovered for 25 minutes. Remove, brush with remaining BBQ sauce, and bake another 10 minutes until caramelized and cooked through (165°F internal temp).
Let rest a few minutes before serving. Garnish with parsley if desired.
