Ingredients

  • 2 chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup cornstarch
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup water (adjust as needed for consistency)
  • Oil for deep frying

For the Honey Sauce

  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp ginger powder
  • 1 tsp cornstarch mixed with 2 tsp water (slurry)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, whisk together egg, cornstarch, flour, baking powder, salt, and water to create a batter.
  2. Dip each chicken piece into the batter, coating well.
