Ingredients

  • 1 1/3 cups warm water (110°F)
  • 1/4 cup non-fat dry milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 package dry yeast (about 2 1/4 teaspoons)
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 3 tablespoons butter, melted (for brushing)
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried basil

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix warm water, dry milk, and sugar. Sprinkle in the yeast and let it sit for 5 minutes until foamy.
  2. Stir in the salt, vegetable oil, and flour. Mix until dough starts to come together.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for 5–7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  4. Place in a greased bowl, cover with a towel, and let it rise for 1 hour until doubled.
  5. Preheat oven to 375°F. Punch down the dough and roll it into a rectangle (roughly 9x13 inches).
  6. Transfer to a greased baking sheet. Use a pizza cutter to score breadstick lines.
  7. Brush with melted butter. Bake for 20–25 minutes or until lightly golden.
  8. Mix Parmesan, garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, and basil in a bowl.
  9. Once baked, brush with more butter and sprinkle with the seasoning blend.
  10. Slice along the scored lines and serve warm with marinara if you like dipping things like I do.
