Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
Pour in the milk and oil, then stir with a wooden spoon until a sticky dough forms. No kneading necessary!
Scoop the dough into the loaf pan and smooth out the top a little. If you’re using the egg, brush it gently over the surface.
Bake for 30–35 minutes or until the top is golden and a toothpick poked into the center comes out clean.
Let it cool a bit before slicing—if you can wait that long without sneaking a piece!
