Ingredients

  • 400g lean minced beef or turkey
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 carrot, grated
  • 1 zucchini, grated
  • 400g canned chopped tomatoes
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 500g spaghetti
  • Fresh basil leaves for garnish
  • Grated parmesan cheese for serving

Instructions

  1. In a skillet, sauté onion and garlic until soft, then transfer to the crockpot.
  2. Add minced meat and brown lightly before adding to the crockpot.
  3. Stir in grated carrot, zucchini, tomatoes, tomato paste, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 6–7 hours or high for 3–4 hours.
  5. Cook spaghetti according to package directions just before serving.
