Ingredients

  • 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 12 ounces pasta (penne or rotini work well), uncooked
  • 3 cups marinara sauce
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup water or chicken broth
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Fresh basil, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  3. Spread the uncooked pasta evenly in the dish.
  4. Top with the raw chicken pieces.
  5. Pour the marinara sauce and water (or broth) over everything.
  6. Sprinkle garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper evenly.
  7. Stir gently to mix ingredients just enough.
  8. Top with mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
  9. Cover with foil and bake for 35 minutes.
