Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
In a large bowl, mix together the cream of chicken soup, sour cream, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
Fold in the shredded chicken and half of the shredded cheese.
Pour the mixture into a greased 9x13-inch baking dish and spread it out evenly.
Arrange the frozen tater tots in a single layer over the top.
Sprinkle the remaining cheese over the tater tots.
Bake for 35–40 minutes, or until the tots are golden brown and crispy.
Garnish with chopped parsley or green onions if you’re feeling fancy. Serve hot.
