Ingredients

  • 1 lb chicken tenders
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice (freshly squeezed)
  • 1/2 tsp lemon zest
  • 1 tsp cracked black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tbsp olive oil (for pan-frying)

Instructions

  1. Pat the chicken tenders dry with a paper towel and season both sides with salt, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper.
  2. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the chicken tenders and cook for 4–5 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through.
  3. In a small bowl, mix the honey, lemon juice, and lemon zest until combined.
  4. Pour the honey-lemon mixture over the cooked tenders in the pan. Let it simmer for 2–3 minutes, turning the chicken to coat it well in the glaze.
  5. Remove from heat and let it sit for a minute so the glaze thickens slightly. Serve warm with your favorite side or on its own. Enjoy!
