Ingredients

  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts (cut into bite-sized pieces)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons sesame oil
  • 2 teaspoons garlic (minced)
  • 2 teaspoons ginger (minced)
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1/2 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • Sesame seeds and green onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. Season chicken pieces with salt and pepper, then coat with cornstarch.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add chicken and cook until golden brown and cooked through. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add sesame oil, garlic, and ginger. Sauté for about 1 minute.
  4. In a bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, ketchup, brown sugar, rice vinegar, and water.
  5. Pour the sauce into the skillet and simmer for 3-4 minutes, until slightly thickened.
  6. Add the cooked chicken back into the skillet and toss to coat evenly with the sauce.
  7. Garnish with sesame seeds and sliced green onions before serving. Serve with rice or steamed veggies.
