Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions
  • 8 small flour tortillas
  • 2 cups shredded Mexican blend cheese
  • 1 cup salsa
  • Optional toppings: chopped tomatoes, sliced olives, jalapeños, cilantro

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain any excess grease.
  3. Add taco seasoning and water to the skillet with beef. Stir and simmer for 5 minutes until thickened.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix cream cheese, sour cream, and green onions until smooth.
  5. Spread a layer of the cream cheese mixture in the bottom of a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  6. Top with 2 tortillas, overlapping as needed, then layer with half the beef mixture, salsa, and shredded cheese.
  7. Repeat the layers, ending with cheese on top.
  8. Bake uncovered for 25–30 minutes, or until bubbly and golden on top.
  9. Let rest for 5–10 minutes before serving. Garnish with optional toppings as desired.
