Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
In a large bowl, mix sour cream, mayonnaise, ranch seasoning, and 1 1/2 cups of the cheese.
Gently fold in the cooked bacon and frozen tater tots until everything is evenly coated.
Scoop the mixture into a greased 9x13 baking dish and spread it out evenly.
Sprinkle the remaining 1/2 cup of cheese over the top.
Bake for 40–45 minutes, or until the top is golden and the cheese is bubbling.
Let it cool for 5 minutes before topping with green onions and serving.
