Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1 tablespoon minced fresh ginger
  • 6 cups chicken broth (low sodium preferred)
  • 1/4 cup low sodium soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon chili garlic sauce (optional)
  • 4 cups baby spinach
  • 3 green onions, thinly sliced
  • 1 16-oz bag frozen potstickers or dumplings
  • 1 tablespoon toasted sesame seeds (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Heat sesame oil in a large pot over medium heat.
  2. Add minced garlic and ginger, sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  3. Pour in the chicken broth, soy sauce, rice vinegar, and chili garlic sauce (if using). Bring to a boil.
  4. Add frozen potstickers and simmer according to package instructions (typically 5-8 minutes).
  5. Stir in baby spinach and green onions. Let simmer for 1-2 minutes until spinach wilts.
  6. Serve hot, garnished with toasted sesame seeds if desired.
