Ingredients

  • 3 lbs beef chuck roast
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 2 teaspoons cumin
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 1 (14 oz) can diced tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • Juice of 1 lime

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, mix chili powder, cumin, smoked paprika, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes.
  2. Rub the spice blend all over the chuck roast.
  3. Place the seasoned roast into the slow cooker.
  4. Top it with garlic, onion, diced tomatoes, and beef broth.
